YOUR VOICE FOR POSITIVE CHANGE

MEET JENNIE

Hi! I'm Jennie Stoltz and I'm running for Fox Point Village President. I'd like to tell you a little bit about myself.

I'm currently serving as a Fox Point Village Trustee and have nearly 30 years of public service experience.

I received a Bachelors of Science degree in Business Administration from Marquette University and a Master of Library & Information Science from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee. I began my career as a Children’s Librarian in 1995 and later served as Head of Youth Services at the Weyenberg Library in Mequon–Thiensville.

In 2007, I was appointed Library Director at the Pewaukee Public Library, where I served for twelve years.

I've also served as Interim Director at the Weyenberg and Elm Grove Public Libraries.

Before becoming a librarian I worked for several years in retail - Webster's Bookshop, Audubon Court Books, Schwartz Bookshop (Ironblock Store) - until I became part owner of a bookstore in Shorewood called Grey & Dudley

Throughout my career, I have worked closely with municipal staff and elected officials. I've regularly participated in board/council and budget meetings. As Library Director, I managed a $1.25 million annual budget and consistently delivered fiscally responsible results.

My career has been defined by:

  • Dedicated community service

  • Collaboration to achieve aspirational goals

  • Rigorous fiscal oversight

  • Supportive and empowering work environments

  • Realistic and forward-thinking long-term planning

These are the values I bring to my work on the Village Board. Beyond this role, I have accumulated significant board experience over the past 20 years, including:

- Addoco, Inc (current since 2019)
- Alliance of Public Librarians (12 years - chair & secretary)
- COLAND – WI Council on Library and Network Development (4 years)
- Pewaukee Public Library Board (12 years – Library Director, advisor to members)
- UW-Milwaukee School of Information Studies Advisory Council (8 years)
- Wisconsin Public Library Consortium Steering Committee (4 years)

I am looking forward to serving as your Village President and I am committed to being your voice for positive change.

STRONG COMMUNITIES ARE BUILT WHEN EVERY VOICE MATTERS.
